Hope for OUR Children are raising money for 'Hope' - a therapy dog who will help traumatised children in Toowoomba's courts.
Hope’s purpose is to sense when children’s cortisol levels are high and will then touch, lick or comfort them, helping to reduce stress so children will be able to tell their story on the stand.
Founder of Hope for OUR Children, Nadine Wright, says having Hope will allow kids to feel comfort when giving evidence.
Hope for Our Children’s goal is to raise $25,000, the cost to fully train Hope over the course of two years.
