Residents at Toowoomba’s Settlers Inn Hotel have now vacated their rooms after yesterday being asked to leave the premises by a note left under tenants doors.

Notices were given to residents living in rooms above the Ruthven and James Streets pub on Tuesday morning (October 23).

A spokesperson for the hotel has told The Chronicle that the decision was made to no longer provide the accommodation side of the business due to costs and expenses forcing them to close the doors to that area of the business.

There was no further comment made on the future of the pub.
