Local people with local solutions

The Southern Downs community is being asked to come up with a solution to help tackle the ice epidemic.

A forum on the topic will be held at the Warwick Town Hall tomorrow afternoon.

A broad cross section of the community is invited to come along, listen and come up with ways to help address the issue.

Maranoa MP David Littleproud says he wasn’t aware how big the problem was until recently and he wants to see a solution that will work in Warwick:

“We need to have a localized solution where locals get to have input, the last thing I want to see is for a bureaucrat from Canberra come in and tell the people of Chinchilla and Dalby how we should provide services that will support those that have made a wrong turn in life – to help them and to also educate and facilitate those people away from the scourge of ice.

This is about local people with local solutions.”
