Helidon police have noticed a spike in theft on rural and remote properties, responding to more call outs across areas like Murphy’s Creek and Preston.

Thieves are targeting these properties for cash, jewellery, guns and cars.

Police are warning residents in these areas to be super vigilant, lock up and keep an eye on neighbouring properties.
