Spike in Water Usage Injects Big Dollars for TRC

More cash is flowing in for the Toowoomba Regional Council from fees and charges surrounding our water.

Toowoomba Regional Council’s monthly performance statement indicates income from fee and charges are above budget by $1.2 million.

The increase is being put down to residents using more water.

The suburbs of Glenvale, Torrington and Cotswold Hills recorded the highest per capita for water usage in May at 278 litres per person while water consumption levels in Meringandan recorded as the lowest.
