A 15-year-old boy who crashed a stolen car and pulled a gun on a motorist has been released by a Toowoomba court for time served.

The court heard how the now 17-year-old crashed a stolen car on McDonalds Road, Upper Lockyer on August 4, 2015.

The teen fled the vehicle with his three injured friends inside.  He then pulled a gun on a motorist who had stopped to help out.

The court handed down a two year sentence and disqualified the teen from driving for 12 months.
