Detectives from the Toowoomba Property Crime Unit investigating a number of recent property and stealing offences yesterday arrested three teens on a total of 29 offences.

The boys, all from Cherbourg were arrested in relation to offences allegedly committed across the South Burnett and Toowoomba area including the alleged break-in of a Crows’ Nest hotel on May 21 in which food and drinks were stolen.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with two counts of ‘enter premises and commit an indictable offence’, ‘stealing’, ‘evade police’ and ‘unlicensed driving.’ As well, as one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and attempted break and enter.

A 15-year-old boy was charged with two counts of ‘enter premises and commit an indictable offence and stealing’, as well as one count each of ‘unlawful use of a motor vehicle’, ‘attempted break and enter’, and ‘unlicensed driving.’

A second 16-year-old boy has been charged with five counts of ‘unlawful use of a motor vehicle’, two counts of enter premises and commit an indictable offence and stealing, as well as one count each of ‘unlicensed driving’, ‘trespass’ and ‘attempted break and enter’.

Investigations by the Toowoomba Property Crime Unit are continuing with further arrests and charges anticipated.
