Toowoomba A Town of Lead-Foot Drivers

Over 18,000 speeding fines have been handed out to Toowoomba motorists over the past twelve months.

Over 18.358 speeding offences have been handed out with more than 15,000 sent out to motorists doing less than 13km over the limit.

In totally $3.3 million worth of fines have been handed out to ‘heavy footed’ drivers by police.

The worst offence was by a driver exceeding more than double the speed limit – 123 in a 60 zone
