Toowoomba Cr Calls for a Ban on Developer Donations

Cr Megan O’Hara Sullivan wants to put an end to pay-for-politics in the Garden Ctiy.

The Cr is calling for ban on ‘developer donations’ saying that the developers have an undue influence on local government.

She is calling for the ban on campaign donations from developers saying it is needed to put a stop to the big end of town buying influences.

Cr O’Hara Sullivan has written to both the Minister for Local Government and the Queensland Attorney General seeking changes.

She says that the system is broken and it needs to change adding that the interests of property developers consistently conflicts with the interests of the wider community.
