Toowoomba Police Push Safety Message
Full-time bike squad
Toowoomba Police will be pushing the safety message in the CBD with 2 full time officers on pushbikes to patrol the area with another twelve officers currently trained for the bike squad.
Senior Constable Geordie Horne says police are looking at ways they can better serve the community and reduce crime. Toowoomba Regional Council has thrown its support behind the project.
He says the bikes will allow Police to patrol areas like Queens’ Park more thoroughly.
