Our local police added a bit of red to their blue uniforms over Christmas swapping their police cap for a Christmas hat as they got into the Christmas spirit during their shift.
Police like all emergency service workers were on call to respond to any assistance calls being a 24 hours a day 7 days a week service.
The Christmas day shift at the Toowoomba station was reasonably busy however most officers on duty enjoyed a BBQ with their fellow workers during their shift.
Sergeant Scott McGrath said the community support during the festive season was encouraging.
“When we are out in the community we get many people wishing us a Merry Christmas,” Sergeant McGrath said.
“It’s always nice to hear these comments and shows us that the community cares about and supports the police Service.”
The Toowoomba police wish everyone a safe festive season.
