Toowoomba Regional Council Brings Back Tree Fee

A fee that was abolished by Toowoomba Regional Council 3-years ago will be reinstated.
TRC has re-introduced a fee that forces property developers to pay for more trees to be planted while in the construction stage.
Councillors voted to reinstate the contribution towards street trees rate of $304 per plant after officers found that older development applications were able to legally opt out of having to plant trees.
