Toowoomba Regional Council's Mt Kynoch Water Wins Origin Title

Toowoomba’s tap water has achieved what Queensland’s rugby league players failed to do last week by knocking off the New South Wales/ACT finalist to claim the Water of Origin title.

A two litre sample from Toowoomba Regional Council’s (TRC) Mt Kynoch Water Treatment Plant was judged the Origin winner yesterday in a taste test at the Queensland Water Industry Operations conference at Logan.

TRC Water and Waste Committee chair Cr Nancy Sommerfield said the Origin water win was  well deserved.

The national winner will be announced during National Water Week at Launceston, Tasmania in November.
