Musical performances highlighting sounds from the Caribbean, Mexico and Africa plus tempting foods from around the globe will treat patrons at this year’s Toowoomba Languages and Cultures Festival on Sunday, August 12.

A cavalcade of the region’s diverse cultural groups will be on display at the festival at Toowoomba’s Queens Park from 10am-4pm.

Toowoomba Region Mayor Paul Antonio launched the 13th annual event yesterday with festival co-founder and organising committee chair Gitie House, who also is president of the main organising group, Toowoomba International Multicultural Society (TIMS) along with Multicultural Development Australia (MDA) Toowoomba at the Civic Square.
