Toowoomba’s Winter Wonderland spectacular will bring an exciting range of activities to the Toowoomba Regional Art Gallery and City Library community rooms this chilly season, with workshops and activities spanning from gardening to night photography beginning as early as July 2.

TRC Tourism and Events portfolio leader Cr Geoff McDonald said the Winter Wonderland activities will cater to a variety of interests.

“Winter in Toowoomba is unique in its beauty. It’s a season that the community should come together to enjoy and celebrate,” Cr McDonald said.

“The Winter Wonderland activities are a fantastic opportunity to have some fun and either begin a new hobby or expand an existing skillset, all while meeting new people.

“Whether you want to hone in on your night-time photography skills, learn to paint and screen-print, crochet beautiful winter garments to take home, bring the young ones for kid’s art activities or be inspired by winter themed garden workshops, there is something for everyone.

“These activities in cohesion with the Winter Wonderland ice skating rink will really contribute to a festive winter atmosphere for the Toowoomba Region community to enjoy.”
