More air conditioning for Toowoomba schools is required.

There is a renewed effort to get more air conditioning into our Toowoomba schools – especially with the temperatures continuing to rise.

Toowoomba South MP, David Janetski, is lobbying to find funding to help supply schools with much needed air conditioning resources.

The Government is however hesitant to install systems in all Queensland classrooms with reports it could cost more than $2 billion.

Yesterday Mr Janetski met with Darling Heights State School Principal Mr Mark Creedon who is of the firm belief that Toowoomba needs to be included in the ‘Cooler School Zone’.

The Department of Education & Training, funds air-conditioning for schools in the ‘Cooler School Zone’, which includes the hottest and most humid parts of Queensland but sadly does include Toowoomba.
