A man who streaked across the field at the Clive Berghofer Stadium during the Brisbane Broncos and Gold Coast trial game on February 17th has avoided a hefty fine for his drunken antics on the playing field.
The man pleading guilty in court to one count each of wilful exposure to offend or embarrass and entering onto playing field.
While the maximum penalty for each offence was $5046, the Magistrate said the man, a fourth year carpenter apprentice, would benefit from a period of probation, sentencing him to nine months probation for both offences, and ordered no conviction be recorded.
