Queensland Tourism Awards

The Queensland Tourism Awards were held on Friday with Toowoomba taking home top honours.

Winners are grinners

Toowoomba’s Carnival of Flowers was up against some pretty tough competition including the Gold Coast’s Commonwealth Games but the glitz and glamour of the Gold Coast couldn’t surpass what the Garden City has to offer – Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers was announced the winner of the Major Festival and Events category for 2018.

Triple M

TCOF now proudly boasts four wins in a row at the Queensland Tourism Awards, and has a shot at being the first Queensland entrant into the Australian Tourism Hall of Fame in a decade.

The 2018 event added an estimated $14 million to Toowoomba's economy.

Next year marks the 70th year of the Carnival and is guaranteed to be a celebration like none we’ve seen before.

The Qantas Australian Tourism Awards will be held in Tasmania on March 1, 2019.
