Donations from this year’s Christmas Tree Festival will go to help women and girls in Toowoomba.

The Middle Ridge Uniting Church is giving half the money raised from the event to City Women.

The event is on now and runs through until Friday next week.

Christmas Tree Festival Committee deputy Chair Allan Pennington says it always attracts a big crowd:

“Our average attendance has been between 4,500 & 5,000 people over the ten days, that includes the performers and the families and supporters.

We get a steady stream of people particularly in the second week which starts Monday.
