A truck driver accused of a hit-and-run death of a cyclist will find out his fate in May.

Earlier this month Geoffrey Joseph Sleba was found guilty of striking and killing Dr Martin Pearson on Anzac Day in 2014.

The 47-year-old will be sentenced at a Warwick court on May 28 - in what a judge calls a matter of "community interest".

Mr Sleba will remain in custody until sentencing.
