Two Men Charged Over Violent Burglaries

Two Ipswich men who have been charged with burglary and a host of other offences after their weekend crime spree will face court today.

The men allegedly tried to break into homes in Drayton and Newtown on Friday night, both were armed with weapons.

Police say that four armed men allegedly broke into a Drayton home around 11pm, the same men tried to break into a Newtown home half an hour later but their attempt failed, one man firing a gun before they fled.

The 30 and 31 year-old will appear in the Ipswich Court today.
