Walton Stores to Host Cinema Under The Stars

Walton Stores will host a Cinema Under the Stars event on Wednesday, January 18th from 6pm, featuring a showing of Zooptopia. 

Families are welcome to bring a picnic blanket and take a seat under the stars to view the Golden
Globe Winner of “Best Animated Feature Film”.

Zooptopia follows a rookie bunny cop and a cynical con artist fox who must work together to
uncover a conspiracy. The film features voices from the names of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason
Batemen and Idris Elba. 

Moviegoers can enjoy the feature film on the highest definition outdoor TV in Australia that spans
six by four metres, and have the opportunity to choose between several gourmet dinner options
within arms reach of their picnic blanket. 

Family-friendly dinner options on offer include gourmet burgers, Asian street food or house-made
fried chicken from Waltons’ popular restaurants Hello Harry, Junk and 2 Birds.

Post-dinner delights are available from Nitrongenie, newest member of the Walton Stores’ family.
Nitrogenie make ice cream using real food ingredients and the magic of liquid nitrogen. 

Walton Stores’ Gavin Hodges said he is looking forward to offering this free family event, being
held on the green space as part of the school holiday entertainment, at the rejuvenated CDB
casual dining, boutique retail and commercial office precinct. 

“We are really looking for ways to bring the community together and take a bit of pressure of
parents these school holidays. Locals have truly embraced our precinct and we are putting on this
free event to thank Toowoomba for their support since we opened for trading in September,” Mr
Hodges said.

“We hope to keep offering an alfresco cinema experience on the green space and we think the
school summer holidays is a great opportunity start,” he said.

“We would love to see families bring their picnic rugs and relax and sample some of the delicious
food offerings we have here at Walton Stores’ restaurants.”
