The 2018 Weengallon High Tea Pink Ladies Day Committee

It was a day of elegant glamour and heart-warming laughter as more than 600 women gathered in the tiny town of Weengallon last Wednesday (August 29th) for a High Tea like no other.

Once again the amazing Weengallon Pink Ladies Day Committee exceeded all expectations by transforming their red ridge in the middle of nowhere into a luscious oasis of refinement for their annual breast cancer fundraiser.

“I can’t believe we have pulled off another Weengallon Pink Ladies Day,” laughed co-ordinator Emma Montgomery.

“It is the enthusiasm and inspiration of a talented group of locals who give so much of their time and themselves to create a fabulous and unforgettable day out for women,” she said.

Initial figures suggest around $45,000 was raised which will go to a variety of breast and prostate cancer initiatives that support local patients.

After sipping champagne while shopping at luxury stores, the guests settled into to the Range Event Hire marquee for lunch and a day of many firsts.

Mark Bunn author of ‘Ancient Wisdom for Modern Health’ appeared as the first ever male guest speaker, delivering simple tips on how you can live a happier and healthier life.

Mr Bunn said it was wonderful to be part of such a beautiful day that so passionately promotes women’s health, an issue very close to his heart after losing his wife to breast cancer four years ago.

“I believe what we are missing in our world is community and connection.  This day delivers exactly that which is very inspiring.”

With 2018 closing as a huge success it’s now time to prepare for 2019 - a celebration of 20 years of Weengallon Pink Ladies Day.
