Work Has Started on Notorious Stretch of Road – New England Highway

Work has begun on improving the notorious stretch of highway between Yarraman and Toowoomba on the New England Highway.
A total of $7 million will be spent on more overtaking lanes with upgrades also planned for the Oakey-Cooyar Road intersection.
Motorists are being warned that there will be reduced speed limits and possible delays with work set to wrap up by February next year.
