Boomerang Bags

This past Tuesday, the WA Government announced the move to ban plastic shopping bags in order to reduce its negative environmental impact on W.A. Locally, here in Esperance we have a group of ladies that run something called "Boomerang Bags" whose aim out of their group is to reduce the use of single use plastic bags.

I chatted to one of the organisers: Belinda, about this decision and she was absolutely pleased with the governments decision. Another reason that they started the group was to ensure that the amazing environment that we live in here in Esperance is maintained and continues to flourish as it can easily be damaged by waste being that we have so many beautiful beaches and landscapes.

Their next "Working Bee" is this Monday. Check out the pictured flier for more details - DrakerĀ
