Great news for road re-opened

Big boost for tourism

Ravensthorpe and Hopetoun Shire

The floods back in February certainly wrecked havoc to many areas and effected many roads. One that was quite strongly effected was the Culham Inlet. Thankfully that all changes as this Sunday, the road will reopen and access to the Fitzgerald River National Park will be made via a temporary road crossing until a more permanent crossing can be made.

I had a chat to Shire chief executive officer of Ravensthorpe Ian Fitzgerald about this and he talked of how important this project has been not only for the community but for tourism. If you ever get the chance to experience Fitzgerald River National Park...do so, just a simply amazing site. It is expected that a permanent crossing will be erected within the next 18 months. - Draker
