Junk food in schools and sporting events for kids has certainly become a big issue. Its an issue that costing 56 billion dollars a year and is seeing 1 in 4 aussie kids being classified as obese/overweight.
I chatted to the principal of the Esperance Anglican School: Kerr Fulton-Peebles about the issue and how their school has worked with promoting a healthy lifestyle through the curriculum.
He spoke of the school being a member of the WA schools canteen association. An association that grades and assesses the schools menu.
