Parts of the Goldfields, South East Coast and Wheatbelt could be in a for a wet and wild afternoon.

Following flash storms that affected parts of the south west coast and some Wheatbelt areas including Kulin yesterday, today's weather has the chance of causing more of the same in isolated areas.

The severe thunderstorm warning is active for areas such as Esperance, Kalgoorlie, Norseman, Menzies, Salmon Gums and Southern Cross.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding and large hailstones in the warning area from around midday.

There is the chance of damage to homes or property and the storms are likely to be more intense than usual.
