Angry dads have hijacked International Women's Day with a go-slow along some of the state's busiest roads, including the M1 at Pimpama.

The protest was organised by the group Australian Brotherhood of Fathers, to protest the way, it claims, the family law system treats men.

The Brotherhood's Richard Wagstaff said the suicides of 21 Australian men each week are linked to family court issues.

Anyone needing help in a time of crisis can call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
