Update: Taps are running again in Pimpama after the water was cut to around 600 homes earlier this morning.
Council crews managed to fix a burst water main on Pimpama Jacobs Well Rd after a couple of hours.
Earlier: No showers for Pimpama residents getting ready for school and work this morning.
A water main has burst on Pimpama Jacobs Well Rd, leaving about 500-600 homes and businesses without water.
Council crews are on-scene working to fix the issue ASAP, and are hoping to have taps running again by 8am.
In the meantime the local school in the area and the nearby shopping centre are being supplied by water tankers.
A Council spokesperson says they appreciate residents' patience while they work as fast as they can to get the water back on.
