Two men have had their grievous bodily harm charges upgraded to murder, after the man they allegedly assaulted passed away in hospital.
Police claimed the 17-year-old from Buccan and 36-year-old from Bahrs Scrub attacked the man outside a house party in Beenleigh on May 20.
The 37-year-old was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane with life-threatening head injuries, where he passed away a few days later.
The accused were due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Tuesday, both in custody with no bail applications made at their last court appearance.
Police said the investigation into the incident has wrapped up, confirming the two accused were the only attackers involved, not five people as originally thought.
