Two athletes training for the Commonwealth Games are set to become one of the first couples to be wed under Australia's new marriage laws.

Sprinter Craig Burns will marry his track and field fiancé Luke Sullivan at Summergrove Estate on the Queensland/NSW border at midnight tonight, tying the knot under fireworks.

The pair have been training on the Gold Coast ahead of the games in April, and have been engaged for nine months.
