Cops crack cold case

Two Gold Coast men, in their 60s, have be arrested over a two-decade old cold case.

Businessman Phillip Carlyle was found dead in the plant room of his internet access business on Glenferrie Dr, Robina on April 13, 1997.

He had been shot in the head four times, execution-style.

The cold case investigation was reopened last year, and police arrested a 68-year-old Robina man and a 66-year-old Reedy Creek man on Tuesday morning as a result.

They were being held at the Southport watchhouse and police said they would release further details on Tuesday afternoon.
