DRIVER WARNING: Comm Games Marathon Will Force Parked Cars To Be Towed

Residents are being reminded to pay close attention to where they park on Sunday April 15, or they may end up paying to get cars out of impound lots.

Drivers have been warned any vehicles found along the Commonwealth Games marathon course, including some nearby side-streets, will be towed away.

While the event will lock some residents in, who'll be unable to move their cars for up to 12 hours while the race is being run.

People are asked to check maps and street signs closely.

The marathon is a 42 kilometre route from Runaway Bay down to Burleigh.
