Duckling crossing sparks five-car crash on M1

A family of ducklings has caused a multi-car pile-up on the Pacific Motorway at Tweed Heads.

It's believed the ducks were crossing the road at around 9:15am on Friday when someone slammed the brakes.

It resulted in a bunch of nose-to-tail collisions, damaging five cars, while a number of people were injured.

Two people were transported to Tweed District Hospital with minor injuries, while another pair were treated on scene.

However the fate of ducklings is unknown.
