Kristy Jones will spend an extra 14 days behind bars, after escaping from a Gold Coast hinterland prison on New Year's Eve.
The 34-year-old was arrested at a Coomera Waters residence on Monday, more than two weeks after walking out of the low-security Numinbah Correctional Centre.
She was in custody on drug, forgery and breach of bail charges at the time.
Ms Jones faced the Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning, where she pleaded guilty to the prison-break and was sentenced to two weeks imprisonment.
Her lawyer Colin Greatorix said his client's bid for freedom was an unplanned act of stupidity.
"She hadn't seen her children in three and a half months and the stress of being incarcerated and going cold turkey, she is a drug addict, led her to this act of stupidity," he said.
Ms Jones remains in custody on the other offences.
