Fire gutts demountable office

Police are investigating the cause of a blaze that destroyed a building in Jacobs Well this morning.

The small, demountable office at a concrete recycling business on Behms Rd was gutted by fire early on Friday.

A passing truck driver called it in after noticing the flames at 1:40am.

Fire crews rushed to the commercial property where they found the structure well-involved.

They managed to put the fire out by 3:30am.

Queensland Ambulance Service crews also attended the scene but weren't needed.

Fire investigators said there was no obvious cause and they would be returning to the scene to investigate further.
