Gang member faces drug charges

A gang member has been charged with serious drug and stealing offences following a police raid in Labrador.

Officers from Taskforce Maxima allegedly found drugs, bank cards, licences, number plates and ammo when they searched the home on Tuesday.

They also uncovered a stolen motorbike during the subsequent raid of a storage shed at Biggera Waters.

A 24-year-old man, who was allegedly a member of a criminal gang known as DLASTHR (The Last Hour), will face the Southport Magistrates Court on Wednesday morning charged with 34 offences.

The charges include produce dangerous drug, possess dangerous drug, possess category R and M weapons, possess explosive, possess tainted property, enter premises, receive tainted property and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

A 29-year-old woman also arrested at the house was charged with weapon and drug possession offences.

She'll face court next month.

Detective Inspector Phillip Stevens said the raid was "yet another example of Taskforce Maxima's commitment in dealing with emerging gangs on the Gold Coast".
