New statistics from our very own SCA Research Database show locals are spending an average of $20 a week on fitness, compared to $17 on alcohol.
The research also found locals were spending more on food every week than fuel, fitness and fun all put together, according to a survey of 92 Gold Coasters.
On average, locals spend $161 per week on groceries and eating out.
Fuel was the second biggest expense, with the average person putting $3,224 worth of petrol into their cars each year.
