Man Charged With Attempted Murder Over Worongary Stabbing
Two people rushed to hospital
A 24-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder, accused of stabbing two people at Worongary yesterday morning.
Emergency crews were called to a Kalabri Ct address around 7am on Wednesday, after a man allegedly broke into a home and attacked the residents with knives.
A 23-year-old woman and 55-year-old man sustained multiple wounds and were rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital with serious injuries.
The offender fled the scene, and a man was arrested in Beechmont a short time later.
The 24-year-old from Clayfield was later charged with attempted murder, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, common assault and enter dwelling with intent.
He was due to face court this morning.
