Manhunt for four men after weekend crime spree

Police are hunting for four men after a series of street robberies on the Gold Coast over the weekend.

It started at around 2:30am on Saturday, when a 50-year-old man was confronted by a group on Goodwin Terrace at Burleigh Heads.

They threatened him with a knife and struck him on the leg with a metal baseball bat, before stealing his phone and wallet and fleeing in a stolen white Nissan Navara.

Then at 3:20am the same group is believed to have stolen a silver Ford Falcon ute from a bowser on Hooker Boulevard in Broadbeach Waters.

Around 4:30am, three men from the Navara threatened a 30-year-old man who was walking to work on Cotlew Street in Ashmore.

The trio assaulted him with a baseball bat before stealing his wallet and personal belongings.

The three men were then captured on footage stealing items from a Southport Nerang Road service station at Ashmore five minutes later.

And finally the same group is believed to be behind an attempted armed robbery at Alabaster Drive at Carrara around 5:55am where three men in a Navara tried to rob a 61-year-old woman.
