Mortal: Geordie Shore star named as Gold Coast animal ambassador

The Animal Welfare League Queensland's Coombabah shelter has turned mortal with Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby named as its latest ambassador.

The self-proclaimed animal lover has used a trip with her boyfriend to the Gold Coast to sign on with AWLQ, and promote the couple's new MTV program Just Tattoo Of Us.

"I love animals so so much, all different kids of animals," she said.

"I thought this was a great opportunity to get involved and help all of the animals out."

AWLQ Fundraising Manager Neil Rangeley said the reality TV star joined other high-profile ambassadors including Sally Person, Titans star Chris McQueen, Ironwoman Courtney Hancock and cricketer Nicholas Buchanan.

“We love having Charlotte on board - she clearly loves animals and wants to promote shelter pets and AWLQ’s lifsaving work here," he said.

“AWLQ is committed to rehoming as many abandoned and surrendered animals as possible and having Charlotte in our corner promoting our work is simply fantastic. We couldn’t ask for a more down to earth and generous Ambassador."
