A Gold Coast woman who lost almost everything in a house fire last week, is reaching out for help to find one of her beloved pets.
Michelle Ottery's rental home on Araucaria Way in Elanora burnt to the ground on Friday.
She and her partner weren't home at the time, and Michelle said they are still in shock.
"We don't really know what to do from here because you don't expect it to happen to you, but obviously it's all material things, the main thing is the animals," she said.
Neighbours broke into the garage to save their dog, Blue, during the fire, while the couple managed to find two of their cats once they were allowed back into the property the day after the blaze, although one was badly burnt.
"He has third degrees burns on his paws, his ears have been burnt, his whiskers are gone, he's got burns on his eye, nose and mouth and most of his fur has been singed," Michelle said.
The vets are hopeful he will make a full recovery, however the couple is still concerned about their third cat, Willow, who is still missing.
Michelle is calling for anyone in the area to keep their eyes peeled for the two-year-old ragdoll.
"She's a small, white rag-doll, she's really timid and could possibly be injured as well".
