Queen's Baton On Final Stretch In The Hands Of Champions High-jumper Amy Pejkovic carries the Queen's Baton through Broadbeach

After a very, very long journey we're finally set hear that message from Her Majesty The Queen tonight as the Queen's Baton is delivered to the 2018 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony.

On it's final leg on Wednesday it will leave from Surfers Paradise at 9am in the hands of Ironman Trevor Hendy, before he hands it off to champion Gold Coaster Sally Pearson.

The baton will then travel to Griffith University and arrive by 11am, before moving back down to Main Beach by 12:16pm.

There it will end it's journey at 1:10pm, before being taken to Carrara Stadium for the opening ceremony tonight.
