Ridiculous Prices And Fake Tix

SCALPER SHAME: Don't Get Fooled By Phony Comm Games Tickets GOLDOC CEO Mark Peters

There are serious concerns fans heading to the events for the Commonwealth Games are getting royally ripped off by scalpers and phony ticketing websites.

There are reports some second-hand tickets for today's competition are going for more than $300 online, while others are selling tickets which turn out to be fake.

GOLDOC CEO Mark Peters says people need to be aware and only buy from the official website.

"We're absolutely disappointed," said Peters.

"We did everything we could to make sure you got rid of the scalpers, but people have decided to still put their tickets up.

"We've had an example where someone set aside a couple of people are they bought tickets and they were just fake - so they've just lost their money."
