Skateboarder Critical After Serious Merrimac Crash Overnight

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a serious smash in Merrimac overnight that has landed a skateboarder in hospital.

Police believe the 33-year-old was skating along Robina Parkway on his electric skateboard at around 10:30pm on Monday when he was struck by a car.

He suffered a serious head injury and was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
