Teens due in court over alleged coward's punch

UPDATE: A third teenager has been charged over the alleged coward's punch that has left 21-year-old Gold Coast auto electrician Thomas Dover with critical head injuries.

A 15-year-old Loganlea boy was charged with grievous bodily harm on Thursday morning.

He joins the 14 and 16-year-olds charged over Wednesday morning's attack.

EARLIER: Doctors will today try to bring Gold Coast auto technician Thom Dover out of an induced coma, after he was critically injured by a coward's punch in Surfers Paradise.

The 21-year-old was allegedly struck by a 16-year-old boy as he walked along Ferny Avenue on Wednesday morning.

A second teenager was also charged, but is not accused of being directly involved in the attack.

Both teens are due in court today.
