It was a long trip to work this morning for commuters who catch the train.
An overhead powerline issue near Kingston in the early hours of Thursday morning, caused long delays of up to 1.5 hours on the Beenleigh and Gold Coast lines.
Services were initially suspended in both directions between Ormeau and Kuraby, but northbound trains resumed around 7am while buses continued to ferry outbound passengers from station to station.
But Queensland Rail has confirmed trains in both directions were suspended again between Beenleigh and Kuraby at 9:00.
Trains are expected to be out of action on that stretch until about 3:00 this afternoon while crews work to fix the problem.
