Dog Owners Calling For More Access To Tweed Beaches

Could Split Access Times Be The Answer

Dog Owners Calling For More Access To Tweed Beaches

The fight is on to open more off-leash dog beaches on the Tweed.

Paws For A Cause is calling on Tweed Shire Council to let pooches on selected beaches for four hours a day, between 6am and 8am and from 4pm to 6pm, rather than reduce 1200 metres of off-leash areas along the coast as planned.

Dog lovers are calling for a 12-month trial of the scheme that has been adopted in other areas like Byron Bay.
