Tweed shooter arrested in QLD

33-year-old to be extradited

New South Wales police believe they have caught the gunman behind a fatal shooting at Tweed Heads on Saturday.

A man was arrested at Jimboomba overnight, after Queensland police spotted his car, a Toyota Corolla at a service station on the Mt Lindsay Highway.

It comes after 31-year-old bikie associate Ace Hall was taken to the hospital with a bullet wound to the stomach on Saturday afternoon.

He died during surgery.

The 33-year-old man arrested overnight will face court in Southport today, where police will seek to extradite him back across the border.
